What We DoWe work to improve lives and build community in Chatham-Kent
OUR APPROACH STARTS WITH COMMUNITY
Through out Chatham-Kent, we are collaborating with front line social service providers, government, and people with lived experience. Together, we are working to identify the root causes of our community's most complex challenges and find solutions.
OUR PARTNERS DRIVE CHANGE
We pool the resources of our public, private, nonprofit and government partners through the Co-Investors Table to multiply our impact through giving and volunteering.
Since COVID-19, United Way of Chatham-Kent has refocused how donor contributions are spent in CK by working with a collaborative approach to support recovery efforts with long term resiliency. We are now working with local social service providers through the Social Planning and Action Tables to help them with the emergency response, work to help with their social distancing support, and over all work to support rebuilding community & social capital.
In 2020, we have provided a framework that allows the community to collaborate in a recovery effort and financially invested over $1.5 million into local programing.
When we unite behind a common cause, with a common vision, lives are improved and our community is strengthened.
