The Coldest Night of the Year event is returning to Chatham-Kent for a fifth year, though it’s no surprise that 2021 will be much different.

Taking place virtually, participants can now walk any time this month, rather than on one day as in previous years.

According to their website, “The Coldest Night of the Year is a covid-safe, family-friendly walk to raise money for charities serving people experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger. Walk with us (virtually) on February 20, 2021 – there’s a place for everyone!”

Network Coordinator Al Baker says the Coldest Night of the Year aims to help the hungry, homeless, and hurting – which are the very same things that Neighbourlink aims to do.

He says the annual fundraiser has been hosted by Neighbourlink Chatham-Kent for the past 5 years, and that anyone who would like to participate can sign-up on their website.

Stay tuned for our upcoming podcast featuring Neighbourlink and the work they do in the community!
