On the SIXTH Day of Giving, we are looking at the ways we can nurture partnerships and achieve amazing things. We’ve been able to enjoy successful events that benefit local organizations and initiatives thanks to collaboration and hard (but fun!) work TOGETHER with local businesses, dedicated nonprofits and committed community members.
From beautiful creative endeavours like the Hate Has No Home Here lawn signs to large events like the launch of Van with a Plan, there are many to join together, get involved and make a difference in your community.
A great example of this kind of partnership was the October 22 event, Dresden Supports!, broasted chicken drive-thru fundraiser, which involved 9 community partners, raised more than $4000 for local organziations and provided 450 items for the Dresden food bank — oh, and filled 189 bellies with a delicious dinner!
It was a pleasure to work with Burns Restaurant, Maple Mutual Insurance, ConAgra, Downtown Dresden BIA, McKellar’s Flowers and Gifts, Foodland, Dresden Sidestreets Youth Centre, Dresden Food Bank and all those who bought a ticket to make this event such a success, and we can’t wait to do it again in your community next!
