Nearly one year into the COVID-19 pandemic, non-profit groups and charities continue to face challenges every day.

On our latest podcast (linked below), we spoke with Loree Bailey who is the General Manager of Chatham Hope Haven and Lynn McGeachy Schultz who is the Board Chair at St. Andrew’s Residence.

As winter settles in and the lockdown continues, seniors and people experiencing homelessness continue to be disproportionately affected by the pandemic.

At the time of recording, Chatham Hope Haven was expanding its hours, and since then, has now become a 24-hour warming centre until further notice.

While this is great news, the organization is still in need of volunteers. Anyone interested in volunteering can reach out by calling 519-351-4010 or by sending them an email at [email protected].

St. Andrew’s Residence is also facing its own challenges, but they’re working on some creative ways to help, including hiring two new staff to help.

Listen to Episode 7 of our podcast to hear from both organizations!
