Dear Friends,

CHRISTMAS is coming!!  and Santa’s elves at the TILBURY INFORMATION & HELP CENTRE are already busy with plans for the “Toyful Christmas” program.  This is an annual community effort to assist less fortunate families in our communities at Christmas time.

Once again we will be collecting new, unwrapped toys and offering them to families that just need a little extra help at Christmas time.   We feel this is a unique and respectful way of helping our families plan for Christmas, and still manage their limited resources.

Local schools, service clubs, the faith community, unions, businesses and individuals are being contacted to help us collect these special toys. December 13^th is our deadline to receive the toys in order to allow us time to sort, organize and display the toys.  The Centre contacts the families and makes appointments for them to come and “shop”, where they select suitable toys for their children.  There is no cost for families to participate in this program, as the purpose is for all children to enjoy a “Toyful Christmas”.

The preparations for this exciting and heartwarming event are underway and we are grateful for all the support this program has had over the years. We look forward to hearing from you in the near future and please feel free to call the Centre at 682-2268 if you any questions.  Please don’t forget the December 13^th deadline.
