“This is a “combo” affair”, said Margery Muharrem, “bringing together two popular events held last year – ‘Christmas at the Winery’ (held for the past three years at Smith & Wilson Winery) and the ‘Runway Gala’”. “We hope to attract a crowd of individuals who want to do a bit of Christmas shopping … and then relax and enjoy a busy pre-holiday evening with friends and co-workers”.
Tickets for “Christmas at the Links” are $50.00 per person (with a $20.00 income tax receipt) and can be purchased at Gentry Manor in Chatham, Links of Kent Golf and Event Centre in Chatham, Mitton’s Jewellers in Ridgetown and United Way offices in Chatham, Wallaceburg and Tilbury.
Net proceeds from the event will be invested in 30 local charitable agencies, program and services for over 36,000 residents throughout Chatham-Kent.

Dean Muharrem announces the start of their 2014 Direct Mail Campaign. “Our 2014 Fundraising Campaign is in full swing and we’re counting on support from all of our current, past and first time contributors to achieve this year’s goal.
Many people choose to donate using the mail. For this reason we are sending our annual pledge request to previous donors. We’re sure you can appreciate how much your continued support means to the success of this year’s campaign. Please participate in 2014 by returning the convenient “L’il Red” envelope. You will be helping more than 30 agencies, programs and services to support one-in-three residents in Chatham-Kent – 24/7 – 365 days a year.”
For those who prefer to donate online, www.uwock.ca offers a private and secure donation alternative. Or you can drop into a United Way office, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call to make your own, specific and personal donation arrangements.“All donations to the 2014 United Way Campaign will help” says Muharrem. “By now, you may also have heard about our Everyday Hero Campaign. For just one dollar a day, or a minimum gift of $365.00 annually, you will be celebrated as an Everyday Hero. Together – we can continue meaningful and lasting change in Chatham-Kent. We’d love to hear from you. After all …It’s a great day to change lives!”
