Do you have a member (past or present) who deserves to be recognized for their contributions to community?
Has your local demonstrated community engagement by improving the quality of life for others and/or community?
We have many members and local unions who work tirelessly in our community making Chatham-Kent a better place to live, work, play & raise our children. We don’t do this with the expectations of being recognized nor do we do this expecting a thank you! We do this because of who we are and what we believe in!

It is with deep sadness that we announce the untimely demise of this year’s RUNNING DEAD event. But take heart, a post-mortem is already under-way with plans for a MIGHTY resurrection in 2015… please stay tuned. Our sincere thanks to those who expressed interest in participating – we greatly appreciate your support. The good news is, Zombies being Zombies, they’re sure to regroup and launch another attack… so see you next year!
HELP US KEEP THE IDEA ALIVE…
In lieu of flowers, the event organizers are offering commemorative ‘nonevent’ wristbands.
YOURS FOR A SONG… for the price of a toonie, your purchase of these orange rubberized souvenir bracelets, sporting the words “The Running Dead 2014” will help us keep the idea alive.
You are already aware of the number of individuals and families that are served by “Operation Cover Up” each year.
We feel our “Chatham Maroons-Operation Cover Up Night” is another way of drawing people’s attention to the ongoing need for winter coats, especially children’s coats.
“Hockey Fans everywhere dress warmly when they attend a game to cheer on their Home team. How can we turn a blind eye to the fact that there are those less fortunate in Chatham-Kent that can’t afford a warm winter coat for themselves or their children? “
The Chatham Maroons would like to encourage their fans to bring their gently used Winter Coats to the game, Sunday, October 12th vs the Leamington Flyers at Memorial Arena. Game time is 7 pm. Volunteers will be on hand to collect the coats in the Main Lobby.
Children’s coats and men’s plus sizes are especially needed! We would really appreciate it if you could help us with this endeavour!!
