United Way officials today salute the efforts of local Dana Canada employees for their “over the top … and still counting” results from their United Way Campaign.
“We set a goal of $10,000. After a lunchtime presentation to our largest group of employees we were sitting at 76% of our goal! We then had a dinner meeting with a much smaller shift of employees and their contribution put us over-the-top reaching a one day employee total of $13,664. We still have lots of opportunity for payroll deduction and special events yet to come!” said Tracey Arnold, Human Resources Manager at Dana Canada and member of the 2015 United Way Campaign Cabinet.
In addition, Dana is matching full-time employee donations dollar-for-dollar. This brings their gift to $26,693 and counting. This is already a 33% increase over their 2014 campaign total.
The 2015 United Way Campaign has achieved $506,195 of its $2,015,000 goal to date. Funds are allocated to support over 40 health and social agencies, programs and services throughout Chatham-Kent.
