RUN FOR YOUR LIFE because zombies are taking over Chatham-Kent! Think you have what it takes to outrun the undead and survive the Zombie Apocalypse?  Try your luck on October 25th at the first Running Dead- Zombie Run!

This 5km fun run features various obstacles including zombies ready to infect anyone who gets too close!  Here’s how it works: each runner will receive a flag belt with three “health” flags. If you make it to the end of the course with at least one flag intact you have survived the Zombie Apocalypse. If all your flags have been removed by zombies you have become infected but are welcome to finish the course.

Runners are encouraged to dress up but not allowed to bring any weapons or replica weapons to the race. Any shoving, hitting or kicking of zombies will not be allowed. Sure, the zombies look real, and are pretty scary, but everyone is here to have fun.

Not only are we looking for people who wish to run, we are also in need of people to dress up as zombies. Zombies will be required to arrive in costume and spend the afternoon chasing, taunting and frightening runners.

The run for your life begins at 3:00 p.m. at CM Wilson Conservation Area. For full rules and to sign up to run or be a zombie please visit http://raceroster.com/events/2014/2656/the-running-dead

All proceeds from this event go towards the 2014 United Way Campaign, which supports over 30 agencies and programs in our community.
